ANDREA
ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY TEACHER
By channeling the energies in specific ways we can become more balanced, more grounded and more in tune with the true self.
Andrea started studying western philosophy as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin in the USA and then stumbled upon a class in eastern philosophy and after graduating with her Bachelors degree in philosophy she decided she needed to study eastern philosophy more in depth.
From there she went to study for many years in Nepal and India under the Yoga Alliance system and became an E-RYT 500 HR . In later years after opening Spirit Sadhana School of Yoga, she decided to further her education and earned a Masters degree in Yogic Science. She has been a yoga teacher trainer for over a decade and has specialized in physiology. She teaches that what the ancient yogis said thousands of years ago is basically the same as modern physiology. The difference is in the way yoga uses it.
Her perspective is that the most important thing to study as a yoga teacher and practitioner is to understand the systems of the body and how they work together and how we can use specific techniques in order to bring wellbeing to ourselves and our students.
